Straightening Things Out

PAGE FOOTNOTES:  Blue roses exist in Pastel. They were genetically engineered by the Ancestors, in the universe before Pastel, over seven centuries in the past. Although there is no proof, the creation of the roses is generally attributed to an ancestor of the Nakimono family, and the Nakimonos use the a blue rose as a family crest.

Of course, virtually all science is considered linked in some fashion with the Nakimono family, primarily because they owned the research facility that transported every one of the original Ancestral colonists to the universe of Pastel. This is a large reason for the great fame and wealth afforded the Nakimono family in general.
